The world-famous and style-defining Bauhaus is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. Founded in Weimar, the School of Design found a new home in Dessau in March 1925. Approximately one and a half years the masters and pupils lived and worked in the middle of the city, before they moved into the new Bauhaus building and the master houses. An almost forgotten Bauhaus chapter today, to which the open space exhibition “Invisible Spaces – The Bauhaus in Dessau” is dedicated. This film provides an introduction to the exhibition and shows how and why the Bauhaus came to Dessau.
