PREVIEW: New Zealand will take on Netherlands in the sixth match of the World Cup 2023. New Zealand are coming from a win against England in the WC opener, while the Dutch were defeated by Pakistan in their first game of the showpiece event. New Zealand go into the match as the favorites Netherlands, by no means will be easy as was evidenced in their game against Pakistan.

Speaking about New Zealand, they played well with bat and ball against England. Rachin Ravindra and Devon Conway scored hundreds, while Matt Henry was the pick of the bowlers, picking three wickets. NZ have set their intentions clear on the template they will be playing the WC. New Zealand have also adopted England’s style of play of batting deep from number 1 to 9.

Despite no Kane Williamson, Tim Southee and Lockie Ferguson, New Zealand still managed to put on a comprehensive display. CaptainTom Latham was spot on with bowling changes and rotated the bowlers well. Batting looks solid for New Zealand, with Conway and Daryl Mitchell in the form of their lives.

Netherlands will have their task to stop a powerful batting line-up. The Dutch have Bas de Leede, Van Beek and Aryan Dutt up their sleeves, who are in good form. The Dutch will be hoping they can stop NZ to a manageable total.

The match will be played in Hyderabad. The surface here is a good batting deck, with initial assist for bowlers. It is generally a bat second ground.
