Always using clean hands and massaging on a clean face. Applying enough dosha appropriate oil to prevent any dragging on the skin.

Using the index finger and middle finger to create little hooks, then using these hooks to gently glide along the jaw line from the centre of the chin to the ears. The pressure is gentle and nurturing and it should feel soothing and enjoyable. This exercise can be repeated 3-4 times or for up to 1 minute if it feels comfortable.
