A year back, MAHAL Studio brought to you “Adi”, a journey into the heart of creation itself. In continuation of this journey, Naad presents to you “Tree of Life”, a non-verbal musical film exploring humanity on our planet, through assorted visuals featuring the Karo, Masai, Huaorani and Hamer tribes, indigenous people of Borneo and Philippines, and the Theyyam dance of India among others, and a global fusion of electronic sounds and traditional melodies and rhythms from the Indian subcontinent and other parts of the world. At its musical core, “Tree of Life” primarily combines the ragas Jog and Ahir Bhairav, with Carnatic and Middle Eastern rhythms, creating a meditative experience for the global listener asking the question:
“What do we come from? Where do we go from here?…”
