In the County of San Luis Obispo, there are currently approximately 250 children who are unable to reside with their birth families due to abuse, neglect, or the absence of caregivers. Adoption offers safety, stability and well-being for children in need of permanency. By recognizing National Adoption Month, our county will show support and appreciation for the many foster and resource parents, various county and foster family agency employees, and community members who support our foster youth and the families who love them.
