The Kansas tax credit scholarship program provides low-income families the opportunity to choose the educational environment that best serves their children, bringing equity of opportunity to those most in need.
“I always wanted to level the playing field for students who might not have the economic advantage of ‘things’,” said Christ the King Catholic School principal Cathy Fithian. “Education does that. Education is the key.”
The CEF tax credit scholarship program has a 99% high school graduation rate. 95% of students served by these scholarships are minority, and 100% meet the financial criteria for the federal free lunch program.
