If you could get a clear picture of future events and see them verified in the news of today’s world, would it signal you that God’s prophetic plan is unfolding? History is rapidly falling in line with the scene the ancient Scriptures call the end. As Christians, we say, “Yes.”
NUMBER ONE: But, the question always is “How late is it?” (6 chapters repeat) – Prophecy places the Israelis in their homeland, in unbelief, prior to the events related to the Tribulation (Ezek. 37, 38; Dan. 11; Zech. 12; Matt. 24; Rev. 12). Today, the Jews are in the land as a nation in unbelief.
If there is an incredible end time approaching, wouldn’t it be amazing to see a sure sign of Israel’s return? Let me read from Washington Post’s Insight Magazine: Nobody really knows how many Jews live in the Soviet Union; estimates range from 1.5 million to 4 million. Many of them, preferring not to stand up and be counted changed their names and hid their heritage to avoid having “Jew” stamped onto their internal passports. During three centuries of czarist rule and 73 years of communism, that stamp has often meant persecution. Recently – it has been less so. But put simply, Russian soil has never been completely hospitable to Jews.
Amazing, isn’t it that only a few years ago just 896 Jews were let out one year, 1,000 the next. Now – a million! Does that get your attention?
NUMBER TWO: The Bible says aggressors from the area currently occupied by the Soviet Union will rise to menace the Middle East and invade Israel in the last days (Ezek. 38). The Soviets have repeatedly demonstrated their intentions for the region.
NUMBER THREE: Arab states are prophesied as involved in end-time military adventures in the Middle East (Dan. 11).
NUMBER FOUR: The Bible says Israel will be a completely isolated nation-a prelude to Armageddon (Zech. 14; Rev. 16: 13-16). Israel is being increasingly isolated.
NUMBER FIVE: Scripture foretells that a revived Roman Empire will operate during the last days as the chief antagonist is Israel and the Lord (Dan. 7, 11). This entity will produce the Antichrist, who will defy God, declare himself divine, and try to destroy God’s people (2 Thess. 2; Rev. 13). The European Economic Community plans (in 1992) to drop all national and economic barriers and become one European entity-a superstate seeking a super leader.

962 A.D. – Otto the Great –
December 2, 1804 – Napoleon crowned self with (golden leaves) as Caesar Europe
1870 – Bismark’s Second Reich followed by Kaiser Caesar Wilhelm –
February 15, 1930 – Churchill said U. S. of Europe must be;
May 9, 1936 – Mussolini proclaimed Roman Empire reappeared with him.
NUMBER SIX: Finally – Prophecy projects the Antichrist entering a Tribulation temple, constructed on Mt. Moriah in Jerusalem, to declare himself divine (2 Thess. 2:4; Matt. 24:15; Rev. 13).
WATCH FOR THE END WHEN:
1. Israel returns en masse –
2. Russia is poised as Chief Aggressor
3. Arabs united in opposition
4. Israel isolated
5. Revived Roman Empire poised for a leader
6. Moriah Temple #3 possible….
Remember Christ’s words as He said those facing God’s final judgment will say “Eat, drink and be merry….”
The result is a disoriented church grappling with the deluge of problems created by spiritually disoriented people.
In 2 Timothy 3:1-5, Paul warns of three inevitable areas that will shout the end is near.
Let me sadly say – we have arrived at such a point in this generation – so world events and spiritual decline indicate it’s the end….
