Potential PTA Events Discussion: PTA Leadership and Dr. Clark
Parents and student guest discussed issues students face and how we might help address them:
stress, mental health and wellness, loneilness and isolation, worry about grades and world situation; helping our kids through virtual learning; executive functioning issues exacerbated by virtual learning; and substance abuse.

Potential No-contact Ideas to Lift Kids’ Spirits: PTA Leadership and Dr. Clark: What can we do for YHS kids, through virtual platforms or – if feasible — by dropping off a little something for every child, that might lift their spirits? In-person gatherings are still definitely not recommended; even more so as case numbers hit record levels, but we’re looking for ways to remind YHS kids that they are loved, and to spread a little happiness, if possible.

Potential No-contact Ideas for Teachers/Staff: PTA Leadership and Dr. Clark: Gift cards most feasible.

Committee Report: Grants Committee: Teachers/staff did a great job in requesting grants for software and other items that would assist in distance learning; all grant applications were very reasonable and were approved.
